Forritunarkeppni Háskólanna á Íslandi 2026

Í byrjun októbers geta háskólar Íslands sent lið á forritunarkeppnina North Western Europe Regional Contest (NWERC) sem er forkeppni fyrir heimskeppnina International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC). NWERC mun vera haldin í Karlsruhe í Þýskalandi 27. til 29. nóvember.

Þann 12. september klukkan 10:00 til 15:00 mun Forritunarkeppni Háskólanna á Íslandi (FKHÍ) vera haldin. Taka má þátt í allt að þriggja manna liðum og leysa um það bil 12 misþung forritunarverkefni. Verkefnin krefjast samvinnu, rökhugsunar og forritunargetu til að leysa. Niðurstöður úr þessari keppni ákvarða hvaða lið fá að taka þátt í NWERC fyrir hönd Íslands, ásamt niðurstöðum úr Norrænu forritunarkeppni háskólanna. Doktorsnemar mega taka þátt í FKHÍ en eru ekki gjaldgengir í NCPC eða NWERC.

ICPC þáttakendur, og keppendur í hliðstæðum keppnum, eru vinsælir umsækjendur hjá stórum tæknifyrirtækjum. Keppnirnar eru líka mjög góð leið til að undirbúa sig fyrir tæknileg viðtöl. Mælt er með að hafa einhverjar forritunarþekkingu til að taka þátt, til dæmis tvo áfanga á menntaskólastigi eða einn áfanga á háskólastigi.

Við bjóðum einnig fyrirtækjum að taka þátt í fyrirtækjadeild FKHÍ. Fyrirtækjalið eru ekki gjaldgeng í NCPC og NWERC í framhaldinu hins vegar.

Öllum öðrum er velkomið að taka þátt sem óopinberum keppendum.

Matur og drykkur verður í boði fyrir keppendur.

Eftir að keppni lýkur förum við yfir lausnir á dæmum og gefum út verðlaun.

At the beginning of October, University of Akureyri, University of Iceland, and Reykjavik University, each plan to select a team to send to the North Western Europe Regional Contest (NWERC) for the Internatonal Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC). NWERC will take place in Karlsruhe, Germany, on the 27th-29th of November.

On the 12th of September, at 10:00 - 15:00, the Icelandic Collegiate Programming Contest (abbreviated FKHÍ in Icelandic) will take place. You can compete in teams of up to three people to solve approximately 12 programming tasks of varying difficulty, requiring cooperation, logical reasoning and programming skills. This contest is the first round for Icelandic university students wishing to compete in the ICPC. PhD students can participate in FKHÍ but can not compete further at NCPC or NWERC.

The participants of past ICPC contests, and other similar contests, are popular candidates at top tech companies. The contests are also a great way to prepare for technical coding interviews. It is advisable for each contestant to have some programming experience, for example two courses at a high school level or one course at a university level.

We also invite companies to participate in a company division of the contest. Company teams are not eligible for advancement to the Nordic Collegiate Programming Contest or NWERC.

All others are welcome to compete as unofficial teams.

Food and drinks will be provided for contestants.

After the contest ends, we will review the solution to each problem and hand out the awards.
